Overview In 2009, IIS has an enrolment of approximately 589 students from Grade One to Grade 11, who came from almost all continents, with a handful from Malaysia. The majority of our students are Muslims. The school also opens its doors to non-Muslims and we have a few non-Muslim students from China and Korea. Undoubtedly there are many international schools in the country, but IIS befitting its name pay particular attention to students overall development especially in inculcating good discipline, moral values and characters. This concern is reflected in our students’ pastoral activities. We regard these extra-curricular and pastoral activities as vital as our academic activities especially in character building, leadership skills, thinking skills – critical, creative and ethical, development of self-esteem, self-confidence and self-efficacy.
